CLEARWATER, Florida (June 29, 2026): The Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s announced today that registration for the Shriners Children’s Volunteer Program is now open. The PGA TOUR-sanctioned global team golf competition featuring the game of golf’s most celebrated champions, is inviting members of the Tampa Bay community and beyond to volunteer for the tournament, taking place December 3-6, 2026, at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, Fla.
Volunteers serve as the heartbeat of every successful golf tournament, filling critical roles including, but not limited to team services, hospitality, transportation, admissions, scoring and spectator services.
"Volunteers are the foundation of every championship," said Brittany Jeanis, Vice President of Golf at Intersport and Tournament Director of the Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s. "We are incredibly thankful to our past volunteers and look forward to welcoming a new class of volunteers in 2026. Whether you're a lifelong golf fan or simply someone who enjoys giving back, volunteering at the Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s offers a unique opportunity to create unforgettable experiences for our players, guests, and fellow community members while helping support an incredible cause."
The Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s showcases the world’s best golfers representing the European Team, International Team and U.S. Team, going head-to-head as they battle for international pride and global bragging rights in a unique competition featuring Six Ball and Scotch Sixsomes formats. The European Team will strive to defend their title with Darren Clarke as captain for the third consecutive year. The International Team will be led by two-time U.S. Open champion, Retief Goosen, and the U.S. Team will be captained by Ryder Cup Vice Captain, Justin Leonard. The event also proudly supports Shriners Children's, one of the world's leading pediatric subspecialty healthcare organizations.
“The spirit of volunteerism extends far beyond tournament week” says Lawrence J. Leib, International Vice President of the Shriners fraternity, who serves as the Volunteer General Chair of the 2026 Shriners Children’s Volunteer Program.
"Volunteers have always played an essential role in helping us fulfill our mission of providing life-changing care to children and families," Leib said. "What makes volunteers special isn't just the time they give during an event. It's the compassion, generosity and willingness to lead by example they bring into their everyday lives. The same spirit that helps create an outstanding tournament experience is the spirit that strengthens communities and helps children and families thrive every day."
Shriners Children’s Volunteer Program opportunities are available for individuals of varying experience levels. Volunteers will receive week-long tournament access and parking, three weekly grounds passes for their guests, food and beverage during shifts, an invitation to the volunteer appreciation party, tournament apparel, and a pair of Skechers shoes. Student Volunteers (age 18-25) and Junior Volunteers (age 13-17) will receive a complimentary volunteer package. The cost to volunteer for all other parties is $120. Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to register early as positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
